Comic-Con 2018 The DEATH of COMIC-CON: Future of the SDCC Convention?

Comic-Con 2018 The DEATH of COMIC-CON: Future of the SDCC Convention?

The death of Comic Con could not have possibly come any sooner for a guy who has been venturing to the convention for over 10 years. I have seen it grow, in my opinion, the greatest period from 2008 to 2011. I will cherish those years at San Diego Comic Con creating the greatest memories with friends and family.

just fucking stupid...stand in line in the heat and get shit-ass seats in the Hall and STILL watch it on your device...people pay shit-ton of money to stand in? Think about...

just fucking stupid...stand in line in the heat and get shit-ass seats in the Hall and STILL watch it on your device...people pay shit-ton of money to stand in? Think about...

Since 2015 I have had my doubts of the future of the convention. 2018 the super comic con convention is possibly coming to a downturn in the bell-curve of quality “content” and its popularity due to the massive crowds of millennials, liberals protesting in the streets, psycho Christians protesting on the corner from the Hilton, narcissistic locals attempting to sell you shit, local homeless ( San Diego has one of the worst homeless population in the nation) and inflatable pricing. With all these problems and more plaguing the con your adventures just become that more annoying. The inability to see your favorite movie characters from comic books being brought to life in big-ass budget films, one has to wait in the longest lines outside in the San Diego heat. Here are some of the major reasons why Comic Con will die! Of course this is my rant formulating observations into facts that do happen at the SDCC! I am sure there are fanboys and fangirls that will flame my writing as "blasphemy"! Hitting home to their beloved SDCC. Keep spending your money on a event that does not deliver q-u-a-l-i-t-y.  I don't give two-shits of a rats-ass what the reader feels because people base their opinon on emotions. I am only writing what is observed at SDCC and this 2018 SDCC was garbage and below is a few more reasons why!

SDCC still has comic books but the management has chosen large media and cash-cow networks/film industry over quality.

SDCC still has comic books but the management has chosen large media and cash-cow networks/film industry over quality.

There have been a conglomeration of mass nerdism and anger in 2018 from several franchises producing horrible content! One such content creator is Disney’s ownership of Lucasfilm. Kathleen Kennedy was recently fired weeks prior to San Diego Comic Con because of Rian Johnson’s screw-up of The Last Jedi Episode VIII. Definitely, Disney has not been pushing any social media of Star Wars at SDCC, nor have they produced any panels or booths from any new movies as before, insatiability advertising at SDCC. Of course, there is the memorabilia and legacy Star Wars booth on the show floor but definitely due to the anger and many like myself being vocal with the direction of Lucasfilm. Disney has announced to stop all marketing of the SW franchise following the firing of Kathleen Kennedy. Here is the kicker. For those born after 1995 and the millennials not knowing about history of SDCC. Lucasfilms in 1977 promoted their first movie, A New Hope, at the very first Comic-Con. Here is a history lesson you snot-nosed pro-liberal millenials! I am sure several will comment "whhhaaa...what is wrong with comic con? I LOVE IT!"... Fucking narcissistic pricks and gullible consumer. This is a reason SDCC will die!

** Recently Kathleen Kennedy managed to convince/crawl her way back into bed with Disney. Suppsoedly aquiring the father, George Lucas himself to produce Episode IX.

** Recently Kathleen Kennedy managed to convince/crawl her way back into bed with Disney. Suppsoedly aquiring the father, George Lucas himself to produce Episode IX.

In addition, Marvel has pulled out of its huge Hall H yearly mecca gathering producing massive media and advertisement in their panel. Marvel is among the branches of Disney teasing  audiences for the new super hero movies premiering trailers at Hall H, which if you never been to the convention, it is worth mentioning that I have attended the Hall H gathering in the past and it is a massive arena able to hold thousands of attendees. Instead of the massive Hall H in 2018, Marvel teases advertisments and of course the millenials thought it was a movie at Hall 5AB. This panel room can hold hundreds compared to thousands at Hall H showing that even Marvel has downsized. Marvel comics X-Men which fans are busting nuts over thinking it’s a new film, in actuality, a comic book release you dumb shit millennials!
Mainly Disney and Marvel Studios have downplayed the con this year and definitely that is something for me to smile about because I cannot stand the convention anymore.

The Predator...ew...Oilvia is still smoking hot.

The Predator...ew...Oilvia is still smoking hot.

Another crap of the con I’ve noticed this year is Olivia Munn, the bitch that sold out the nerds when she made her fame through Attack of the Show, a small network that no longer exist. YOU SEE THAT!>!>!>??? SMALL NETWORK and SMALL MEDIA were the FIRST to promote San Diego's Comic Con in the 2000s! Anyways... Olivia Munn cashed-in on the nerd popularity when she made her debut in the early 2000‘s through the network G4TV (in my observations a much-missed network favoring the geek-culture we see today). Olvia sold-out, leaving the network and Attack of the Show mid-season in favor of taking second rate acting parts. Olivia is in the new film The Predator premiering at 2018 SDCC. The hot-ass half-Asian hoe has returned to cash-in the nerd goddess status. Geeks and nerds are very special bread of humanity. I have observed them and in some cases myself , exemplifying liberal psycho narcissism. Mostly guys whom continually give credit to women in the geek culture, which I have no problem with a females success, it is the process and business-plan of how they attained this success, off the gullibility of the geek culture. Whatever, as I stated above, I only write what is already produced and formulate what is going on with that particular content.

DC has also premiered their trailer for TITIANS and of course the political correctness, a pro liberal millennial show, with the wrong casting for characters that I fell in love with in the DC Universe. The show producers fucked-up and if you talk about the ethnicity of the actress people will label you a "racist" but I feel, as many others do, that Starfire deserves a better casting. Not sure if DC Comics CFO Geoff Johns had a say, or possibly Geoff was steam-rolled by the network, has revealed yet another pro-millennial liberal infested show once again taking in-depth characters I read about when I was growing-up in the best possible way called a COMIC BOOK. Networks making these characters politically correct . Please stop with the gender and ethnic bullshit. Another reason why SDCC will die just horrible production choices.

Fan-based shows on YouTube that are 10 times better than the crap the networks and major film industry puts out ...this Comic Con premiere got 12,000 thumbs down I’m going to give it 12,001.

Lastly, the quality of collectible toys will kill comic con. One of the few activities I would look forward to at SDCC in the recent years. This year one of the few things I could see is a stupid Freddy Krueger collectible...really? Where are the Green Ranger Dragon Daggers? Where are the Transformer Exclusives?! Even so, SDCC 2018 lacked its former glory and luster and you will find scalpers on good-ol' EbAy selling the exclusive collectibles that your fatass waited in-line only to discover a "SOLD OUT" sign. Therefore, if you hate lines but determined to attend SDCC later to find your beloved collectible is "sold-out" just been fucked!

Typically I would watch IGN because they are one of the few networks online that actually live -streams and I am not impressed with their coverage of SDCC.

Cosplayers can suck a fat dick. Instagram-hoes and Snapchat-hoes all attempting to photo-bomb and making a living off their looks but if you may not have noticed if you approached one in PERSON, you may find that the cosplayer is not a very nice person. All selfish and capitalizing on the nerd culture and virgin males.

Overall, I am not impressed with 2018 SDCC and I’m smiling to myself because this convention has gotten to the point were it has irritated the small media that created and made this convention popular in the early 2000's. Small media and networks are not invited to SDCC as they were in the past being thrown-aside in favor for the large media networks and film industry because SDCC has become a cash-cow for the pro liberal millennial attendees.

Sony Adds PS4 Games To PlayStation Now Streaming Service

Sony Adds PS4 Games To PlayStation Now Streaming Service

In a post on PlayStation Blog, Sony announced that PS4 games are coming to PlayStation Now this year. While Sony couldn’t confirm exact game availability or a specific launch window for the catalog expansion yet, the company noted that PS4 games will still be available on a standard PlayStation Now subscription. Within the next few weeks, Sony also expects to launch a private beta for current PlayStation Now subscribers to test out PlayStation 4 games on the service.

Similar to streaming services like Netflix, PlayStation Now works by letting you remotely stream and play games from the cloud without having locally download files. The library draws from the PlayStation 3 and includes titles like Red Dead RedemptionThe Last of Us and Dark Souls II. One-month subscriptions will run you $19.99, while a three-month subscription costs $44.99

While PlayStation Now isn’t necessarily a flagship feature for Sony and the PS4, the update is a nice addition that adds some useful value to the console. For casual gamers who don’t purchase a new game every few months, subscription programs like PlayStation Now can still keep them tied to a console with relatively less investment and adding current-generation PS4 games to the service bolsters its upsides.

The move also puts Sony and the PS4 in line with its competition. In February, Microsoft announced Xbox Game Pass, a similar program that’ll stream Xbox 360 and Xbox One games to subscribers.

WHY World of Warcraft LEGION SUCKS! Vanilla WoW Player COMPLAINT

WHY World of Warcraft LEGION SUCKS! Vanilla WoW Player COMPLAINT

Review of World of Warcraft Legion the SIXTH expansion since 2004. After spending a few weeks playing this game and leveling to 110 I then began the end-game process  PvPing and... PVEing...WHAT??? ME<<< PVE<<<???!!!?!? That is fucking right...fuck this expansion and here is why...

Subjectively speaking, I am highly disappointed in this expansion and I am an old-school vanilla WoW player. What does that mean for those who played this game since 2005? Simple, MOVE ONTO ANOTHER MMO but that is highly unlikely since the MMO genre is dominated by Blizzard's titanic World of Warcraft and no other MMO developer could ever break through the subscription numbers. Today in Legion the gaming community is dominated by snot millennial's who do not understand game play mechanics because they did not play 10 years ago when true gamers understood their class mechanics and role. The HK system is taken away and gear is unified, universal, and has no statistical meaning in player versus player. The HK system is gone. Now when you enter a PVP, Arena, Battle Ground, or group, your stats are universally adjusted.

Before Legion, the mechanics set the game apart from the average shithead player from the more serious gamer which, I subjectively believe that this game has destroyed all hopes and love of the original game-play.

Now you have to PVE in this expansion to PVP. WHAT THE TITTY-TROLL FUCK??!?!?!

This is annoyingly accomplished by finishing and farming story line reputation in the zones of Legion. Since PVP gear has been eliminated from vendors if you do not understand the system then you never played World of Warcraft.

Warlords of Draenor, the previous expansion was solid. Blizzard retained the 10-12 million subscribers for a few months, separating the average peasant player from the players that were more competitive. Blizzard took too much away from the game in this exapnsion. What set WoW apart in the MMO genre was the PVP system, to retain and attain higher tier gear which, set that person and player apart from the masses. YES, sometimes that created the elitist mentality however, there was a sense of accomplishment that you rose above the peasants and masses as a WoW gamer.

Before Legion, the proper player versus player process was queuing into the battleground, you farmed the respective Honor Kills (HK) and that was used as currency for the base PVP gear. As the player progressed you would also farm tokens for higher level tier PVP gear in rated and or, arena-type game play. This really set the game style apart from those who could not play their class. In piece of SHIT LEGION, you have masses of players who do not understand class mechanics and objectives. Although from Blizzard's point of view, the developer eliminated countless of talents and abilities in this expansion to simplify the game play. I have found, as well as other serious WoW gamers, this overly simplified the experience because now a lot of abilities are missing from classes that old-school World of Warcraft players are used to. A player used to get out of situations by utilizing class mechanics, now this game is less situational, you press six abilities and you're done. Some gamers like that but the more experienced gamers are left screaming out loud because this expansion fucking sucks!!!

Women in Gaming Spotlight: GeekandGamerGirl Twitch Personality 2016

Women in Gaming Spotlight: GeekandGamerGirl Twitch Personality 2016

The University of Southern California Interactive Media and Games Division has always supported the role of women in gaming. Especially women, like Jessie James, whom I had the complete honor of interviewing at E3 2016. I really need to stress and point out that Jessie a.k.a. "GeekandGamerGirl" does not use sex appeal to grab an audience. Twitch.Tv has been a phenomena for the past 5 years since their launch in 2011. Now Twitch is the official broadcaster of many gaming events like E3.

What I really respect Jessie for is her steadfast ability to not use the female physique to grab viewers. Instead her streams focus on actual gaming content. Jessie is an actual gamer. Meaning she is a true 100 percent gaming-chick with a solid personality and the ability to actually explain what she is doing while playing. Not many can do this. This is why Jessie is in our spotlight for Women in Gaming! The great thing about Jessie is that she does not have to get "carried" sort-of-speak, by other gaming people behind the scenes. If you watch carefully on other streamers, they use sex-appeal and other gaming pro's to make the Twitch stream "look" good. Not all personalities do this but as a viewer, I recommend to really take a look at who you donate to and try not to fall into that dupe of heavy make-up. Literally some streamers take advantage of the geek culture and there can be problems.

GeekandGamerGirl is a genuine personality from Sydney, Australia. Her accent not only makes her appealing to view, it is also the content that she chooses to stream. While interviewing, Jessie explained she grew-up around classic systems like SEGA, Nintendo, and 90's PC games. What I enjoyed about our meeting is how GEEKY we got discussing classic game consoles AND classic PC games. Yes, this girl knows her PC's. Unlike other personalities on Twitch, GeekandGamerGirl knows her gear. This showed when Microsoft invited Jessie to E3 2016 as a special guest! Jessie's knowledge and perseverance are her greatest strengths and she has marketed, developed, and produced her own content. This is admirable. She did not need any major studio to help her along.

LA GAMES CONFERENCE 2016 Virtual Reality, Mobile APP, and FTP Gaming Breakdown

LA GAMES CONFERENCE 2016 Virtual Reality, Mobile APP, and FTP Gaming Breakdown

First of all would like to thank Digital Media Wire and 2016 Media Team for inviting me to experience the Los Angeles Game Conference earlier today

Mmm not to burst anyone's bubble but senior analyst, well the few at this particular conference that did speak up against the VR push, are not buying-in. VR is stigmatized by the goggles however, VR has been around for the past 35 years. 3-D has been around since the earliest movie theaters, the term "Virtual Reality" is the visual concept that we can move in patterns not limited by side-scrolling...atleast in the realm of gaming.

In 3-D versions,  one of the first immersive gaming models to reach record breaking proportions is World of Warcraft. In World of Warcraft a player can immersively move their character up,down, left and right (Z, X and Y axis)... If you don't know what THAT means then you probably sucked at Geometry. Regardless, World of Warcraft and games like it where you can move your character freely in a 3-Dimensional zones, is a form of virtual reality. The goggles experience may be great for some however, it is not great for the entire gaming community. This is where the conference shined. This is where it was broken down. Senior marketing analyst and developers discussed the critical topic of what makes a game successful? In general it is not the technology, or even the marketing. What makes a game global massive success in the today's gaming?

2. Easy and user friendly interface

3. No hassle technology

4. Story (immersive)

5. Competitiveness (esports)

The analysts are looking at VR with skepticism and this is what the conference  touched on vigorously. The general consensus is it is not a viable cost-effective measure for people in the gaming industry. Developers cannot argue that the technology is NEW because we have seen VR push in the original Nintendo with Virtual Boy. Basically, it is the same feeling that people are getting now when 3-D televisions came out as a result of the Avatar movie and James Cameron pushing for 3-D. Nevertheless that idea went to the wayside because a family realized they look absolutely ridiculous with 3-D goggles in the living room... Looking back the classical model of PC and Mouse or Console and Controller will most likely be the staple of interface gaming.

Overall, with all the speakers touching on VR, Mobile APP, and Free To Play models the general consensus of a game being successful is the massive global appeal it needs to have. There are games that target a select population of gamers being thousands or tens of thousands. The golden crop of a game being successful is the global appeal. League of Legends, Counterstrike, DOTA, Starcraft and the new contender Hearthstone are all models of a massive and healthy global game.

VR in all its shapes and forms is still being viewed cautiously and skeptically by developers, marketers, and analyst. Although the technology has been in different forms it is still a costly and cumbersome piece of equipment. Even I demoed the VR unit playing Borderlands and got nauseated. Only time will tell how the general gaming marketing community will take to VR gaming. The community will either massively appeal or fractionally.
