Discover the next adventure of Starfleet. Watch the first look trailer of the highly anticipated season two premiere of Star Trek: Discovery, which makes its epic return to CBS All Access in early 2019! Premiered at Comic-Con International in San Diego during the series' Hall H panel with cast and executive producers, this trailer previews the continued voyage of the U.S.S.

Star Trek Discovery (STD) in my opinion and observation at SDCC 2018 is possibly the only saving grace of the convention. SDCC 2018 streamed live and premiered the trailer for Star Trek Discovery getting over 6.8 million views. STD by far surprised skeptics that the show would be a hit! This is great for Gene Roddenberry‘s universe and the Star Trek franchise. In 2005, Star Trek Enterprise series ended, not on a great note for fans and arguably the least watched prime-time television show of the Star Trek universe. STD has brought back Gene Roddenberry's universe in the universe that we know from the continuum of the beloved Star Trek The Original Series, Next Generation, Deep Space 9 and Voyager. The Star Trek movies of recent are in a different universe and can be explained in this video here: The multi-verse, seems to be a continual show and film production excuse to "experiment" with show classic timelines. If the show, or movie, sucked then the writers and developers can have an excusable dismissal of the failed attempt.  Directors and producers can always deflect fans that it is a "multi-verse," geeks and hardcore fanboys can say "OoOOoOOO its a different universe!" I can go on and on about how the multi-verse affects different re-imagined shows and movies.

Nevertheless, I encourage viewers to please check-out Star Trek Discovery Season 1. The great aspect of STD is its ability to attract non-traditional Trekkies and Geeks.  The show stays true to Gene Roddenberry's vision that humanity could be in a peaceful coexisting Federation of planets living in conjunction with those different from humanity. Humanity have set aside the issues that plague our present day society: racism, stereotyping, political feuds and indifference.

I encourage all to watch Star Trek Discovery and if you never been a Star Trek fan, this show will definitely make you one.
